About this project

Zero → Frontier is a free, independent educational reference — not a company, not a product, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI lab named on this site (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, or any other company mentioned throughout).

The sourcing standard

Every claim is attributed. No claim is invented.

The editorial standard is source-forward: important claims should carry a named, checkable source, with primary and official materials preferred. Source presence is not the same as continuing accuracy. Fast-moving product, pricing, legal, and frontier claims are explicitly treated as dated snapshots that readers should recheck.

Research method

Read in full, not skimmed

The underlying source material for this project's history and technique sections was read start to finish, not summarized from search snippets.

Verification

Links checked, not assumed

Resource links were assembled and reviewed for the July–August 2026 edition. The site does not continuously crawl those destinations, guarantee future availability, or treat inclusion as endorsement.

Neutrality

Debates presented, not settled

Where genuine disagreement exists among credentialed people — like the AGI debate — this site presents both sides rather than picking a winner.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is this affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any AI company mentioned?

No. This is an independent educational project. Company names appear because their products, research, and public statements are the subject matter being explained and cited — not because of any partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

Is anything on this site paid, gated, or does it collect my information?

No. There is no account, no email capture, no paywall, and no advertising anywhere on this site. Every page here is free to read. Two of the 237 linked resources sit behind Medium’s member paywall and are labelled as such in the library; everything else is free at the source. All four Medium links were checked on 30 August 2026 by reading the isAccessibleForFree and isLocked fields Medium publishes in each post, against a known-free and a known-paywalled control. Two came back locked and carry the label; two did not.

How current is the information here?

This project reflects a mid-2026 snapshot. The frontier model landscape, in particular, changes on a timescale of weeks — the Frontier & AGI page and Resource Library are the two places most worth re-checking against their linked primary sources if you're reading this well after publication.

I found a broken link or an error — how do I report it?

This remains a static educational site. Report a broken link or substantive error to RN Collins through the LinkedIn contact linked from the public portfolio so the source record can be reviewed and corrected.

Can I share or reuse this site?

Yes — it was built to be shared freely. If you adapt or republish it, please keep the sourcing intact rather than stripping the citations, since the citations are the entire point of the project.

Is this legal, medical, financial, or professional advice?

No. Everything here is educational and informational. Nothing on this site should be relied on as legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and nothing here should be treated as a guarantee of any outcome from using any tool, technique, or model discussed.
